The air is a bit different this time around.
Breezes and whispers that engulfed hatred and rage at every turn have now been replaced with doubt. The hate-filled chauvinistic rhetoric that once gassed more than half of the U.S. population doesn’t seem that appealing to them anymore. We’ve seen what 4 years of division, disrespect, prejudice, humiliation and the promotion of violence towards minorities looks like and it’s time out for it. And if you’re mad, just know that as of September 2023, there were still hundreds of children waiting to be reunited with their families since being taken from them at the border. Stop it already.

For over 9 years, we have been encouraged to advocate for violence. His rallies leading up to the 2016 presidency were breeding grounds full of slander and harm toward others, and our issues were always because of everybody else. From hurling vitriol onto Mexico and expecting them to pay for it to the promotion of hostility towards journalists, Muslims and Black Lives Matter just to name a few, his behavior always reeked of bigotry and white supremacy and we can no longer afford it.

It’s been exhausting honestly.
But more than that, a country that was granted leader of the free world in the 1940s has a name to live up to. And it is impossible to employ great leadership if managed by fear and hate.

This Tuesday, Nov. 6th, we decide the next president of the United States. And it boils down to a few things: whether you want to live in the past, being bogged down by the same, tired dishonesty regarding enemy lines and hatred, or do you want the opposite? Whereas Trump boasts about rally numbers, being the “father of IVF fertilization” and plans to make America, bigger, better and stronger without an actual plan, Kamala has a track record proving that she can walk the talk.
Kamala Harris believes in the power of America and most importantly, the people. She is not just some DEI hire; she earned her seat at the table and climbed the ladder as District Attorney, Attorney General, Senator and Vice President, and will continue to fight on behalf of the American citizens as she always has.

Exercising your right to vote is your chance to reject the divisive past and embrace a vision of true leadership. Because if its not her, its him. And going back means reliving the same toxic ideals we’ve been trying to get away from. We are not doing that.
You have 1 more day. If you have not voted, please get out and do so.
